SERVICESStart where you are.
I provide product, technical, and organizational leadership for hard-tech companies - from focused assessments and company-building work to ongoing fractional leadership, founder support, and coaching. The services below describe the most common ways to work together, whether as a standalone engagement or as part of a broader sequence shaped around what you need now.
FOR FOUNDERSMany ways to work together.
Whether you need clarity on what comes next, hands-on leadership through a critical stage, an experienced partner for the hardest decisions, stronger company foundations, or support growing into the role, each engagement is shaped around what you need now.
01 · DIAGNOSEScale Readiness Assessment
A focused three-week assessment of the product, engineering, manufacturing path, team, and operating model. You leave with a clear view of what is working, what needs attention, and what the next stage requires. The assessment and recommendations are yours, whether or not we move into a fractional or advisory engagement.
WHO IT'S FORFounders moving from idea to prototype, preparing for first production, or getting ready to scale. It is useful when the company is growing, decisions are becoming more connected, and you need a clear view of what matters most.
YOU LEAVE WITHA written assessment, a prioritized view of the most important opportunities and risks, a practical 90-day plan, and a clear recommendation on what to address now, what can wait, and what may not need action at all.
Fractional
2 days/weekEmbedded
3 days/week3 weeksFixed fee, quoted up front
There is no commitment beyond the three weeks. If we continue into a fractional or advisory engagement, up to half of the assessment fee is credited toward your first month. Everything we produce is yours to keep either way.
02 · BUILDEmbedded Product & Technology Leadership
Some of the most consequential product and engineering decisions happen before a company is ready for a full-time executive. In hard-tech, those early choices can shape years of work. I work alongside you, serving as a fractional CTO or CPO depending on what the company needs. I take ownership of the hard questions and help drive the product direction, technical architecture, path to manufacturing, operating rhythm, and key hires required for the next stage. When the time comes to hire a full-time leader, I can support the transition and, if useful, stay involved in an advisory capacity.
WHO IT'S FORFounders from proof of concept through scale who have something real and now need experienced product and technical leadership to help build the company around it.
YOU LEAVE WITHClear product direction, a roadmap the team believes in, an architecture that can evolve, a path to manufacturing, stronger key hires, and an operating rhythm the team can carry forward.
Advisory
1 day/weekWe start with a 90-day engagement, giving us enough time to understand the company, build momentum, and make meaningful progress. From there, we continue month to month, with 30 days’ notice in either direction. I work with companies up to three days a week; if the role begins to require more than that, I’ll help you recognize when it is time to hire a full-time leader.
03 · SUSTAINFounder Partnership
A trusted, ongoing partnership for the decisions that are hardest to reverse. We work through company strategy, product direction, key hires, organizational questions, fundraising, and board preparation. This is lighter than a fractional engagement, but still close enough to be useful. I stay current on the company and the context behind its decisions, giving you a consistent place to think clearly, pressure-test your instincts, and work through the calls that matter most.
WHO IT'S FORFounders who have strong day-to-day leadership in place but want an experienced partner for the decisions that still sit with them. It can also support early founders who need senior perspective without a larger engagement.
YOU LEAVE WITHGreater clarity, stronger preparation for fundraising and board conversations, and a trusted partner who understands the company, challenges your thinking, and helps you navigate the most consequential parts of the role.

4 sessions/mo + async supportWe start with a three-month engagement, then decide together whether it makes sense to continue.
FOCUSED ENGAGEMENTSOn their own, or inside an existing engagement.
Not every need requires a broad assessment or an ongoing leadership role. These focused engagements address a specific part of the company and can stand on their own or complement other work.
04 · ALIGNCompany Foundations
Growing companies make hundreds of decisions before the principles behind them are clear. This engagement gives founders space to align on the company they are building - not only what it will make, but why it exists, how it will operate, and what it will expect from its leaders and team. Together, we define the company’s vision, mission, values, leadership principles, and working norms. The result is a practical reference for hiring, onboarding, setting priorities, resolving disagreement, and making difficult tradeoffs as the company grows.
WHO IT'S FORFounders aligning before building the team, leadership groups preparing for a new stage of growth, or companies whose stated values no longer reflect how they want to operate.
YOU LEAVE WITHA clear set of company foundations, written in your voice and translated into practical principles your team can use to make decisions, work together, and hold one another accountable.
6 weeksFixed fee, quoted up front
This can stand on its own or become part of an ongoing engagement. When we are already working together, your monthly fee is applied toward the cost, and the work is often fully covered within an embedded engagement.
05 · LEADLeadership Coaching
Leadership can feel lonely, especially when the answers are not obvious. Coaching gives technical leaders a confidential place to work through what is happening now - the hard conversation, the struggling team member, the bigger role, or the decision with no clean answer. Practical, recurring support from someone who has been there.
WHO IT'S FORNew managers learning to lead teams, founders stepping into leadership for the first time, and experienced leaders adapting to the realities of hard-tech.
YOU LEAVE WITHA trusted, confidential partner to help you think clearly, prepare for difficult moments, navigate unfamiliar challenges, and grow into the leader your role and team require.
up to 4 sessions/moFixed fee per session, quoted up front
Coaching is open to new managers, first-time founders, and experienced leaders adapting to hard-tech. You can come directly or through your company, with no broader engagement required. Sessions are booked individually, with no long-term commitment. More on coaching →
FOR INVESTORSTechnical and manufacturing due diligence.
An independent view of whether a hard-tech company can deliver what its technology promises. I assess the architecture, path to production, cost structure, and team behind it - then explain what matters, what could go wrong, and what it means for the investment in plain English.
My incentives stay simple: I am paid for the quality of the diligence, not the outcome of the deal. I do not take success fees, hold a financial interest in the transaction, or evaluate companies I am already advising.
Technical and manufacturing risks, prioritized by severity and how quickly they could affect the business.
Cost, yield, and production assumptions, tested against the model and materials you were shown.
An assessment of the team and organization, including whether they have the capability to deliver and scale the product.
A clear recommendation on how to proceed, including the most important risks, what would need to change, and the likely implications.
